zinKlosanTM is a broad spectrum anti-bacterial soap containing Triclosan and Zinc Oxide that helps treat and prevent recurrence of: zinKlosan
  • acne (acne vulgaris)
  • prickly heat (miliaria)
  • body odour (bromhidrosis)
  • bacterial infections on skin like impetigo, folliculitis, etc.

Bacteria are microscopic, single-celled organisms that live in every conceivable environment all over the world. There are different kinds of bacteria; they exist in many shapes. Bacteria are broadly grouped as gram positive or gram negative based on Gram Staining method. Some bacteria reside in the bodies of people and animals - on the skin and in the airways, mouth and digestive and genitourinary tracts - often without any harm.

Some bacteria help to digest food and destroy disease-causing cells. A few kinds of bacteria do cause disease and they are called pathogens. They can cause disease by producing harmful substances (toxins), invading tissues, or doing both. Examples of bacteria that cause infections include Streptococcus (Cellulitis, Impetigo), Staphylococcus (Folliculitis), Pseudomonas (wound infections) and Escherichia coli (urinary tract infection).

Acne is mainly caused by overproduction of sebum, irregular shedding of dead skin cells resulting in irritation of the hair follicles of the skin and build-up of bacteria. Evidence suggests that the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes has a major role in the inflammation of acne.

zinKlosanTM is a broad spectrum anti-bacterial soap containing:

  • Triclosan
  • Zinc Oxide

Triclosan (5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)phenol) in zinKlosanTM is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that combats gram-negative bacteria as well as gram-positive bacteria. It is seen to target bacteria mainly by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis but its lethality cannot be explained solely by the inhibition of metabolic pathways. Zinc Oxide is a mild anti-septic that also has a protective effect on skin.
